Our 1st-2nd Grade Math Club meets once a month before school. Students can enjoy math games, math art, math puzzles, building activities, math literature and much more. It is a club for pure fun with anything related to math. It is not a remediation or tutoring session
Enrollment is full for the 2011-12 school year.
Enrollment Procedures:
1) All students in rising grades 1st-2nd that wish to join the club register in June for each following school year.
2) Enrollment is limited to 35 students due to resources and space. If enrollment is at capacity, students may request to be placed on the waiting list. They will be accepted into the club as soon as a space becomes available by the order they are on the list. Typically this takes one full school year.
3) If you would like to sign up to be on the wait-list, please click on the contact link below ( Karen Mirkovich) to send an email with the student name and grade level.
4) Each student is allowed one year membership in the regular grade level math club. For example, they can be a part of the 1st-2nd club for one year and one year on the 3rd-5th grade club. This allows for more students to be in the club and moves the wait-list along.
5) Three absences from the club removes the student. ( Illness doesn't count.) Please send an email, note, or phone message to Mrs. Mirkovich if your child misses a meeting.

Group Announcements Volunteers WelcomeOur math clubs are engaging with many activities. We welcome any volunteers to help out for one meeting or several throughout the year. It is easy to volunteer. You would attend the club meeting and monitor some of the math games. I will assist you in learnng the rules of the game or task. You would arrive at 7:45 a.m. and leave at 9:00 a.m. If you are interested send an email to Karen Mirkovich, Math Specialist on the contact link below this section.
Math Club InformationMath Clubs do not meet on mornings when there is a two-hour weather delay. For reminders of when your next math club meets, a sticky label will be placed in your daily agenda about two days before the Friday meeting. Next Club MeetingCheck the calendar at the right.
